PhD, Geomicrobiology & Biogeochemistry
ABOUT ME
ABOUT ME
********
I am a geomicrobiologist/biogeochemist fascinated by the ways in which microbial life shapes the natural world. I am particularly interested in microbes that "breathe" iron, and form or dissolve minerals in the process. My group studies the physiology of these iron-metabolizing microbes and their influence on the biogeochemistry of soils, sediments, and aquatic habitats.

When I'm not swooning over rusty puddles, you'll find me enthusiastically tending my plants or settling in to my new home in Bristol where I recently became a lecturer in Environmental Geoscience.
